Data Sharing
Introduction
Data sharing is the practice of providing partners with access to information they can’t access in their own data systems. Data sharing allows stakeholders to learn from each other and collaborate on shared priorities.
Sharing Data: Tayloring Reports by Audience
Data-Informed Stakeholders: Building Family Capacity to Understand and Use EI/ECSE Program Data
This poster addresses the potential challenges families face in today’s data-rich world of EI/ECSE. Strategies for building capacity in family leaders as stakeholders to use data in the decisions about programs that EI/ECSE leaders need. Experiences and learnings from a family development program on data use will be shared.
Stakeholder Knowledge Toolkit: Building Knowledge about Data
This toolkit orients Part C and Part B 619 stakeholders to IDEA data and other data-related topics to help them meaningfully participate in conversations about programmatic issues and decisions. Part C and 619 staff are encouraged to share this toolkit with stakeholders as a self-guided resource and/or use it with stakeholders in a facilitated manner. Stakeholders can build upon the introductory knowledge gained from using this toolkit by seeking opportunities to learn more about their states’ IDEA data.
Preparing for Your Next Virtual Stakeholder Meeting
This webinar will support you to effectively use your technology ecosystem (platform and features) to plan and facilitate your next virtual stakeholder meeting. Get information about technology features and learn key actions to take before, during, and after the meeting to engage stakeholders in-discussions about Part C and 619 data.
State Interagency Coordinating Council (SICC)/State Advisory Panel (SAP) Data-Informed Stakeholder Toolkit
This poster provides an overview of the new State Interagency Coordinating Council (SICC)/State Advisory Panel (SAP) Data-Informed Stakeholder Toolkit.
Stakeholder perspectives on early childhood data use
These short perspective videos describe some of the ways that key stakeholders are using data in their work to support children with disabilities and their families. Hear how important data are to program staff, data managers, coordinators, families, and more. These videos were part of our 2016 Improving Data, Improving Outcomes conference closing plenary session.
SSIP Stakeholders: The Right People, The Right Purpose, The Right Plan
This session includes state presenters sharing their experiences to-date and describing their plans for stakeholder engagement in SSIP Phase III. Opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and collaborative problem solving were provided through roundtable discussions facilitated by state Part C and 619 staff, as well as SSIP TA providers.
Effectively Engaging Stakeholders in Data Use
This presentation featured staff from Colorado and Tennessee sharing information, ideas, and resources for effectively engaging stakeholders in data use.
Understanding and Effectively Engaging Stakeholders in Data Use
This workshop highlights how the DaSy Framework can help you engage stakeholders in data use. Engaging stakeholders in data use is critical to the State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP) process. The DaSy Data System Framework recognizes stakeholder engagement as a component of high-quality Part C and Section 619 data systems.
Developing an Effective Evaluation Report
This workbook is written for public health program managers, administrators, and evaluators to support their construction of an effective evaluation report. It encourages a shared understanding of what constitutes a final evaluation report for people with all levels of evaluation experience. The workbook outlines six steps for report development and provides worksheets and examples for each step.
Sharing Data: Creating 508 Compliant Reports and Data Visuals
Creating 508 Compliant Reports to Ensure Accessibility for All – Part 1 of 2
This webinar was for Data Managers and Coordinators looking to ensure their reports are 508 compliant so that people with disabilities can access and use the documents. This webinar is Part 1 of a 2-part series on 508 Compliance.
Creating 508 Compliant Reports to Ensure Accessibility for All – Part 2 of 2
This webinar was for Data Managers and Coordinators looking to ensure their reports are 508 compliant so that people with disabilities can access and use the documents. This webinar is Part 2 of a 2-part series on 508 Compliance
Data Visualization: Key Considerations for Effective Data Visuals
Unlocking the Power of Qualitative Data with Data Visualization (IDIO)
Participants will be given a framework and an overview of different techniques for displaying qualitative data and hear one state’s story of how they have used visualizations to communicate qualitative data to stakeholders. Participants will have an opportunity to share with each other in breakouts.
Data Visualization Toolkit: Tools & Tips for Presenting Data Effectively
The Data Visualization toolkit is designed to support the creation and use of high-quality data products as addressed in the Data Use subcomponent of the DaSy Data System Framework, specifically in Quality Indicator DU3.
Telling Your Data Story with an Infographic Workshop Series
This series of virtual workshops will equip participants with resources and tools as well as feedback and support to develop an effective infographic. In the first workshop, facilitators will review best practices, share resources, provide a how-to on using tools, and share exemplar infographics. In the second workshop, participants will share infographics they created after the first session for feedback and support.

A website where you can get the Qualitative Chart Chooser which provides qualitative visual options AND the step-by-step instructions on how to make them
Fiscal Data Visualization Workshop Using Local Data to Tell a Story
This presentation gives new ways to get local early intervention programs to look at their fiscal data to answer critical fiscal questions. This workshop will enable you to convert your own raw fiscal data into engaging data visualizations.
Connecting the Dots: From Data Visualization to Useful Information
Data professionals know that communicating data through visualization is key to promoting the understanding and use of data. However, creating effective data displays can require time, skill, and specialized tools. This session will share multiple straightforward ways to improve how your data is displayed and showcase low-cost or no-cost data visualization tools through a series of data visualization makeovers, including data maps, qualitative displays, charts, and more. State Special Education and Early Intervention data visuals will demonstrate how effective data visualization supports data quality and use.
