Leading Data Linking and Integration Initiatives Learning Community

February through July 2024, on the fourth Thursday of the month (Feb 29, March 28, April 25, May 23, June 27, July 25), from 12:00-1:00pm PT / 3:00-4:00pm ET

What hopes and goals do you have for your data?

  • Do you want to develop stronger partnerships with relevant state agencies, establish a data sharing agreement, or begin planning a data integration project?
  • Maybe you need to create a use case to garner support for a desired data system expansion, or have you been newly selected to manage an existing project?

This learning community supports Part C program staff in all these efforts by building your capacity and confidence in leading and managing data linking and integration (DLI) initiatives. Our goal is to develop your knowledge and skills to manage data development projects, from engaging agency leadership for support to working with IT and legal offices on the gritty project details. This is an opportunity for you to build your leadership competencies with TA and collegial support.

Who should attend: Part C Coordinators, Data Managers, and other state EI data leaders

In the first session, we will cover the foundational elements of managing data improvement projects, with a focus on establishing value with partners and leaders. Each month following, we will cover related practical skills and knowledge you can use to improve your data infrastructure. We will publicly announce each monthly topic in advance so you can determine whether you should attend or should include other colleagues as well.

You will get the most out of this if you can attend all sessions with a colleague, but the topics will be presented in ways that allow you to miss one or two sessions and not feel left out. We will not ask participants to complete any prep work in this series, though it may be beneficial to have a project in mind as you consider how to apply what you are learning.

Each session will include:

  • Tailored DLI content determined by the group and developed by the TA team
  • Practical application activities (like drafting a value statement for leadership or an elevator speech) or small group brainstorming discussions
  • Question and answer discussion time
