The Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) will be holding conversations on equity-related matters to better fulfill commitments for the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). In an ongoing endeavor to improve outcomes for infants, toddlers, and children with disabilities, OSEP is looking for feedback on decisions and how to promote equality.

Every year, OSEP evaluates the educational outcomes and results for children with disabilities in each state, as well as how each state complies with IDEA’s compliance criteria, using the Results Driven Accountability (RDA) system framework. In accordance with Executive Order 13985 on Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government, ED is examining how the 2023 determinations process can advance equity.
