In the last decade there has been a policy shift in the United States to build more powerful data systems to improve services and outcomes for all young children including those with disabilities. In this 2016 presentation from the International Society on Early Intervention (ISEI) conference, the authors present research on how states have worked to develop data systems that meet the needs of administrators, policymakers, and researchers and how the resulting data are being used to improve policy and programming for young children.
