Does DaSy have recommendations about what state data systems should look like?

In the first year of our project, DaSy worked closely with seven states to develop a framework that identifies the key components and quality indicators of an effective data system for Part C and 619 and the integration of those data with other state systems. The seven states are Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Idaho, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. The DaSy Data System Framework:

  • Provides a structure for DaSy’s TA
  • Is a tool states can use as a self-assessment of their data systems including identifying areas for improvement
  • Identifies strategies for coordinating data systems to connect data about children across programs and over time.
