Section 618 of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requires that each state submit data about the infants, toddlers, and children with disabilities age birth to 21 years who receive early intervention services under Part C of IDEA or special education and related services under Part B of IDEA.
Child count data for several fiscal years are available. States can use these data files to compare across years and to other states.
Note: These 618 Data files contain the underlying data for the static tables presented in the IDEA Section 618 Data Products: Static Tables – Part C Child Count and Settings resource and are provided in Comma Separated Value (.CSV) format. This format allows for data to be loaded into a variety of applications. CSV formatted files are best viewed in applications that allow data to be manipulated in columns, most common of which are spreadsheets or databases (Excel, Access, etc.). Clicking on a .csv will allow you to view it. Right-clicking on the .csv will allow you to download the file to your computer for use in any application that you choose.
