Recently, the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) invited State Educational Agencies to apply for new grants to design, develop, and implement Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems (SLDS) to accurately manage, analyze, disaggregate, and use individual student data. This competition focuses on enhancing States’ capacity to use longitudinal data systems to identify problems and drive improvement efforts. States may apply for funds to address up to two of six data use priorities, including Early Learning. Applications are due June 10, 2015. For more information, see the Federal Register entry.
