This webinar will include a general overview of Federal Privacy Laws and help participants navigate Terms of Service agreements and understand terminology frequently used in those agreements. By understanding commonly used provisions and the Department of Education’s best practices, state and local programs will be better able to understand how a given online service or app will collect, use, and/or transmit personally identifiable information from users, so they can make better decisions about what sort of applications they want operating in their programs.
