SUMMARY:Using IDEA Part C and 619 Data in the PDG 0-5 State Systems Needs Assessment Webinar (Aug. 27)
DESCRIPTION:States awarded Preschool Development Grants B-5 (PDG B-5) are actively engaged in assessing the current needs for children and their families identified as vulnerable. States are taking a comprehensive approach to exploring needs and are tasked with bringing together key partners to strengthen the diversity of input and contributions to the process. The identification and inclusion of diverse data sources adds strong value to the assessment process. The IDEA 619 and Part C systems bring rich sources of data useful for states and communities in their continuous assessment and improvement processes. \nThis presentation will highlight the types of data collected by states IDEA 619 and Part C and where the data is located. Discussion will focus on collaboration with state partners to integrate these sources into the broader state picture of how children and families are being supported. Included will be suggestions for how the data can be used and analyzed for effective decision making.

SUMMARY:Webinar: Collaboration to Support Data System Modernization
DESCRIPTION:Please join the SLDS Program for an SLDS webinar on Collaboration to Support Data System Modernization. States continue to make progress in building infrastructure and streamlining processes to collect\, connect\, and report information. However\, with aging technologies\, talent shortages\, budget constraints\, and changing priorities and requirements it is an ongoing challenge to leverage innovations and to identify the “best fit” for addressing your data system needs today and in the future.\nCEDS and Ed-Fi are both engaging with states to help support this work. Each provide tools which can help states meet the needs and requirements of stakeholders at the district\, state\, and federal levels. Join this webinar to learn about one example of how CEDS and Ed-Fi are collaborating around system modernization. Nebraska will share their experience in implementing the Ed-Fi to CEDS plug-in which enables the full integration from Ed-Fi to CEDS within Generate to streamline federal reporting.
